Wholly responsible for upgrading and building the firm's IT infrastructure as a two
year project. Wrote new core business systems software that runs the company of 80 employees.
Configured and managed the installation of 80 workstations, 5 Windows 2003 servers with MS Exchange,
Active Directory, SQL Server, etc. Designed and built a new SQL Server database and ASP.NET software which
stream-lined the production of 18,000 claims packets per year. Designed, integrated and built a document imaging and
archiving system which handles one million documents per year. Built the public website where clients can retrieve their various HIPAA compliant reports.

manufacturing consultant, systems implementation specialist and simulationist with EDS'
Manufacturing Consulting & Implementation Services group for nine years. Below is a
partial list of projects and clients, which have included many General Motors facilities:
Integration for Large Global Network Installation - Integrated the processes, procedures and .project documentation into a
lean set of project management tools for a multi-billion dollar contract to
implement a new global computer network
- Warehouse Management Systems
- Estimated, analyzed and short-listed WMS for a large retail spare parts
distribution center in Ohio..
- Machine and Tooling Shops -
Integrated scheduling and capacity planning systems with
their other business processes and strategies. Sold, selected and implemented a new
enterprise wide integrated manufacturing management system at another firm after reviewing
current business processes, hardware and software.
- Carburetor Plant in Mexico
Performed Goldratt style assessment. Designed and implemented Pull Systems and Level
Scheduling practices. Overhauled processes around floor material movement, storage and
purchasing. The new processes were integrated with their existing MRP system (QAD) and
managed the flow of 34 million parts a month.
- Software Development Organization - Documented and upgraded processes
to include project management and quality best practices for CMM Level 3
- Gear and Axle Plant and Stamping Plants - Member of a process reengineering team
that identified operational issues limiting performance and prioritized recommendations
for process re-engineering.
- Woodworking Plant - Implemented lean
manufacturing principles, new processes and information systems for increased throughput
and first-time quality.
- Aluminum Foundry -
Simulated operations after an electronic pull system was to be implemented.
- Assembly Plants -
Designed, sold and implemented at several plants - a new labor
documentation system for integrating the Toyota Production System and Total Quality
Management techniques at GM. This Excel/ODBC/Oracle based system that was the standard for
GMs North American assembly plants for many years.
- Automotive Assembly Stamping Plant -
Modeled and simulated production and storage
requirements and automated layout of warehouse.
- Truck Assembly Plants - Layout of Engine, chassis and trim line workstations with a
focus on lean manufacturing principles. Co-facilitated lean manufacturing workshops.
Primary simulation modeling engineer for a very successful paint shop throughput
improvement project. Provided decision support and suggestions for the layout of a new
plant from simulation models.
- Cost Study - Surveyed
and analyzed costs for prototype mold development. The study was instrumental for
decisions to add and reallocate many millions of dollars in resources.
- Plant Systems Monitoring
- Designed, constructed and implemented software to process and display the furnace
temperatures and SPC charts at an iron foundry. Managed system vendors for client to
implement another integrated system that collected and stored results from lab
instruments, analyzed and displayed the results in remote plant locations.
